przymiotnik + ly
quick- quickly
careful – carefully
happy – happily

***good (przymiotnik) —WELL (przysłówek)
Your English is good.———–You speak English well.

lovely, friendly, silly, lonely, lively – do tych przymiotników nie można utworzyć przysłówka;

deep*, early, far, fast, hard*, high*, ill, late*, little, long, low, near*, pretty, right, short*, straight, wrong, much/more/most – przymiotnik i przysłówek mają taką samą formę.

*po dodaniu końcówki –ly słowa te zmieniają znaczenie!!!!!!!!!!!
DEEPLY (mówiąc o uczuciach)
He was deeply offended.

HARDLY (=very little, almost not)
I hardly know her.
She has hardly any money.
I hardly ever go out.
He hardly looked at it.

HIGHLY

He was a highly paid man.
They spoke very highly of him.

LATELY =recently
Have you seen him lately?

NEARLY =almost
I am nearly ready.

SHORTLY =soon, briefly
He will arrive shortly.
